Melnik

This city-museum, the smallest town in Bulgaria, lies in the South-West, near to the Greek border. It offers a picturesque combination of beautiful National Revival style houses and magnificent sand pyramids over 100 m height. Melnik is famous also with its wine cellars and its well-known red wine “Melnik”.
