Plovdiv
One of the oldest towns in Europe and the second largest city in Bulgaria. It was among the most fortified and urbanised towns in the Thracian province of the Roman Empire and its capital on the Balkan Peninsula. The visitors can walk along the narrow cobbled streets. They can see the ruins of the town walls and the well preserved Roman amphitheatre , the picturesque houses and buildings from the 17 c., the St. Marina Church and Saints Konstantin and Elena Church, the Ethnographic museum, etc.
